Do Cheap Nursing Scrubs Last?

“Cheap” in this case can be relative. From one perspective, this can pertain to digits. There are brands that on the onset already offer low rates. Then, there are brands that put their pieces on sale so consumers will have the chance to buy them at a “cheap” price.
From another angle, “cheap” can also go beyond rates and numbers. It can also mean the quality of a fabric. When we say that a scrub has a cheap fabric, it can mean that the manufacturers have limited resources to create a top-of-the-line fabric technology that produces a good-looking fabric.
In all honesty, cheap fabrics are a big no-no. In your profession, you will be required to move a lot, so you need a uniform that can give you utmost comfort. Unfortunately, cheap fabrics in general are not absorbent and comfortable enough.

What can you do to make cheap nursing scrubs last?
Here are some care tips and guidelines

Second, to protect the colors from fading, never use bleach to remove stains. Or if you do, at least make sure that you use color-friendly bleach. Or better yet, go for natural or homemade stain removers.
Third, choose your detergent or soap carefully. Some detergents have compounds that can harm your clothes, so again, read the labels.
Fourth, while you don’t have control over spillage and other unfortunate accidents at work, prevent those that you can prevent. For instance, ink from pens can come out and will stain your clothes. This can be very difficult to remove.
Last, always hang your scrubs at a special compartment or closet. And when you iron them, make sure that the device is adjusted to the right temperature. Otherwise, it will damage the fabric.
